Good morning, Mac -- hope things are well with you and Mrs. Mac.
Been watching Landman on Paramount+. It’s another Taylor Sheridan series this time focusing on the oil business in Texas. It’s quite good with a lot of big names in it, although I despise pretty much all of the woman characters. A sample:
I was watching a town hall style gathering with a Q&A segment and noticed, not for the first time, that people asking questions, even short 2-3 sentences worth of a question, are reading them off of their phones. More young college-aged people than older adults, but still almost all of them.
It strikes me as odd that these people can’t hold their thoughts together in their heads for 30-45 seconds to ask a question. And it seems to be a common thing.

Happy Monday, TSW denizens.

I have that series and have watched a bit. Planning to jump in soon, It does look interesting.
I think you’ll enjoy it. Billy Bob Thorton does an excellent job in his role.
I’ve jumped around and liked what I’ve seen. I am looking forward to running straight through, hopefully before I download the next season.
Season 2 begins sometime in November.
Happy Monday, Gerbil Nation!
Good morning, Sven, and Mac!
Sven -- I hope you don’t lose power this week.
Hi, Paddy -- with the ENORMOUS burden on the power grid with 90 degree temperatures for a couple of days, it will be a miracle if the power stays on.
