Happy Wednesday, Gerbil Nation!
Good morning, Sven!
Speaking of work, Mrs. Paddy and I have been discussing retirement a little more. I was running the numbers for my teachers’ retirement and the difference between retiring at the end of the 26-27 school year and waiting until after the 28-29 school year is the difference between 47% of my salary and 52% (plus two more years of full salary). Then I’ll have to figure out how much we can withdraw from our 401ks and see what makes sense. For now, it’s nice to have the choice to work or not.
The national average price for regular gas dropped to $2.998 a gallon, down from $3.001 the previous day, according to the fuel price tracker.
Driving around town, the lowest price for the cheapest grade gasoline at an independent station was $4.29. At the major stations, nothing below $4.60 and all the way up $5.71.
I’m somewhat amazed that a mass shooting at a child’s birthday in Stockton over the weekend is not getting much/any coverage in the MSM. Three children and one adult dead and at least another dozen shot/injured. Crickets, and I can just maybe guess why.
Good morning, GN, and happy mid-week for those that have to know what day it is.

You are in a good spot to have that option, Paddy -- good on you. Still, it’s a difficult decision and requires much discussion.

A small price to pay for the pride you can feel when you think about your bullet train and how you are saving and serving Gaia.
We do it for the children, Mac.
But first, we’d like to acknowledge that all of these gas stations sit on stolen land.
“Conquered land”
In a few weeks, plastic bags at the grocery are once again banned.
