We are doing OK, Paddy. All of the emergencies and home got-to-do-it-right-now incidents from last month are at least manageable right now. These winds tho are tiring.
Mrs Sven has a break in the medical side of life this month, which frees me up to address some of my own health stuff that I’ve put aside the past 18 months.

I was reading in my local paper about the protests yesterday, across the southland, against ICE, etc. The pictures were filled with the typical mix of weirdo’s holding professionally printed signs. The authors stated that hundreds of protestors gathered in Pasadena, but the pictures showed dozens. Likewise, in San Bernardino, the claim over a hundred gathered, but pictures show less than two dozen. I drove past my local city hall a couple of times yesterday and the usual protest intersection was bare of protestors.
I used to care about understanding the other side and thought that facts, discussion, debate or argument would get us to a common understanding from which we all could move forward. Not anymore.
