We went out to the movies tonight -- Mrs Sven wanted to see Melania. Not a huge crowd for our showing -- all told there were six of us in the theater. Is it a terrible movie? No, but you already had to have a favorable opinion of FLOTUS to sit through it.
Since I found a love for opera, I have spent much less time listening to instrumental music and I forget how I loved it. I have been listening to Beethoven’s 4th Symphony and his Leonore Overture #3, two favorites from my childhood. Tchaikovsky and Wagner have pieces that I love as much as anything I have heard, but they are buried in music I find it hard to wade through at times. Beethoven amazes me with the refinement and mastery of his music. Those favorite passages are set in beautiful settings that just make them shine the brighter. I did not really find Mozart until later, mainly through his operas, and he also has that wonderful quality. I think I need to make more time for music. I feel like my time is running out and I want more before then. I have no talent for music or any art, but I am so thankful that others have the talent to create and perform such sublime beauty, and that I can enjoy it.

Good morning, GN -- happy weekend to all.
Happy Pandaday, Gerbil Nation!
Good morning, Sven!
It’s a beautiful day out, so Mrs. Paddy and I are going to get some gardening done on our hillside.
We checked in with Teh Younger. They’re expecting a low of 25 tonight, so they’re going to let the outside faucets drip overnight.

I’m glad nobody made one about Michelle O.
Are Democrats allowed to show images of their holy prophets?
