Where I worked back in the 80’s, there was a beautiful young Iranian woman named Azita who had manged to flee Iran with her family a year or so after the Shah fell. I remember her telling the story about how she was accosted on the streets of Tehran at gunpoint because her traditional Muslim garb was missing a button and how she was almost killed for that transgression. I hope she is still alive and happy today.
