I’m happy to see that Blaze Bayley, who filled in for several years with Iron Maiden as Bruce Dickinson went solo for a time, is part of Maiden’s 50th anniversary celebration.
Funny. There’s a fire hydrant on the street at the edge of our property. I went to get the mail and noticed that is leaking pretty good. Call the local fire station down the hill direct and explain it to the guy. He says it would be better for me to call 911 and explain it to them. I call them, explain I was told to call 911 -- they ask why so I explain I was told to -- and they connect me to the emergency fire department dispatcher and I run through the story again. Five minutes later, the local fire station that I called first shows up to fix it.
