That is outrageous. Given he was shown to have lied about who approached who to initiate the confrontation, it is especially unjustified. So if an elderly Jewish man dares to express an opinion a Muslim activist does not like he can be killed, but you can not defend yourself, you must rely on the police. That is far from the American Dream.
Hi, Mac. I don’t know how it is in Texas or other red states, but here in CA govt actions like this are the norm and all I do anymore is shrug and move on.
Bummer. The bobcat just came through the yard and snatched up a squirrel for dinner. Yeah, the law of nature and bobcats have to eat too, but wish I hadn’t seen it.
Good morning, GN.
Well this is outrageous and I can’t believe if the religions were reversed that there would have been the same outcome. https://hotair.com/john-s-2/2026/05/05/ca-justice-man-gets-one-year-for-killing-jewish-protester-n3814635

It seems to me that federal charges might be possible in this case -- perhaps some hate-crime thing. Hope they are looking at it.
Happy Nordic Wednesday, Gerbil Nation!
Good morning, Sven, and Mac!
Sven -- that is outrageous. As you said, if the religions were reversed, the outcome would have been very different.

Yeah, I get it. We have a squirrel, some rabbits, hawks, falcons, and owls that we regularly see. I don’t shed a tear for the rats, though.
