Good morning, GN. Not much sleep for me today, but I had to get up early anyhow as contractors are coming over here in a bit. Mrs Sven is still healing up from her fall down the stairs and I think it’s weighing on her more emotionally than physically.
Been reading/listening Martin Cruz Smith’s Ukraine Hotel -- it’s his last published work -- came out around the same time he died last year. It’s part of his Arkaday Renko series that he started years ago with Gorky Park. Good detective novel.
Happy “Complicated” Monday, Gerbil Nation!
Good morning, Sven!
Sven -- I’m sure Mrs. Sven’s tumble moved her thoughts in a direction she didn’t want to consider. Please give her my best. On another note, I hope the home repairs go well.
Thank you, Paddy -- she’s doing a bit better today.
The home repairs are going well. The contractor is a guy I met 40 years ago -- the boyfriend of a girl I worked with and briefly shared a house with back in the 80’s. I’ve run into him a couple of times over the years -- he married the girl I knew and they had a few years together before she tragically died a few months after giving birth. Anyhow, he runs his own business and is treating us very well. Good workers doing quality work on the exterior walls.
Thread pic: “Them” and “Me” should be reversed.
