I doubt they monitor our activity, but always assume they can check what websites we’ve visited and when we login and logout. Yesterday, late morning, a teacher posted a question to the all-grades chat about emailing report cards. Since that’s not something I do (the supervising teachers handle that), I didn’t chime in. After about an hour with no response, I did some digging posted what I’d found. After another hour or so, the OP posted that there had been some changes to the student information database system which resulted in some changes to the user interface, which caused the original question. The fact that what is normally a rather busy chat was silent for a few hours in the middle of the day tells me that most everyone has completed their end of the year tasks and shut down for the summer.
The vice-principal over high school sent an email out at noon today. Happy last work day; tough year; good work; all the usual. That was a pretty obvious check to see who is still around. I normally don’t “reply all”, but I did today to help my colleagues in case they missed the earlier notification. We’ll see how many people respond.
