I saw a short clip on Facebook from a series called “Grimm”. It caught my interest enough I downloaded it, all six seasons, 123 episodes. I showed a clip to Elena and she wanted to try the series so we watched a few and got hooked. We are starting the third season now and I have burned them all to DVD as it looks like we will watch it all. We both find some of the secondary characters and the actors who play them more interesting than the main characters but we are enjoying it. She sometimes wants to see four episodes at a time, and one day we watched six (it was Saturday so no soap operas).
A police detective in Portland, Oregon is one of the last of the Grimm family. A Grimm can see magical figures like werewolves that live unseen among us, many inspired by Grimm’s fairytales. The members of the family have been hunting and killing these creatures all over the world for thousands of years, but he is just starting to see things and ends up having friends among these “Wesen”, (beings). There are stories mostly wrapped up in each episode but also ongoing story lines. It is better than I expected. My main complaint, which makes Elena laugh, is not the fantasy aspects but the unrealistically dumb things done by the main character. It still works well. I think we will be sad when it ends. It played from 2011-2017.
Democracy= 51% enslaving the 49%. So next they will have to keep the rich and productive from leaving, or put in a system to loot them before they can escape. Sounds like utopia to me. Do you think people will risk there lives to reach this land of promise?
The proposed law will be retroactive to those that had residences in CA as of January 1, 2026. So if you waited until this year to make a move, then you could still be screwed -- not that I think this “law” will hold up under judicial scrutiny.
Yeah, it surely does, but we’ll see how many favorable judges they find and how many years this drags out. As I said before, I’m going to vote for it. Not that I think it’s a good law by any means, but because CA will not change until it hits rock bottom and this might just be what does it. Sorry, Paddy.
If they get away with such retroactive laws, it seems like they would go after all the people like us that sold overpriced homes in CA to go to States with functioning economies. They would claim we benefited from California’s inflated home prices and need to pay our fair share. Going back enough years it seems like they could loot more than they will get from ransoming billionaires.
It worries me with all the liberals fleeing their failed states and then voting for the bad things here again. Guess I won’t be around, but sure glad I have no kids.

That sure sounds like an Ex post facto law to me. Not surprising for the Left but it sure sounds unconstitutional to me.
