Paddy, finding the right place for your MiL is a difficult task. You got to look at each one and I don’t know anymore where you could go to get objective reviews of them or help in finding the right one. The one my folks ended up in was highly recommended and the basics were good, but they failed to notice that at one point my father had fallen and broken his wrist. It wasn’t until many hours later when the nurse came by to check on him and called us, that we got him to the ER.

Sven & Mac -- thank you for your kind words. Mrs. Paddy has a contact at a company that evaluates board and care homes and will be touring them with her, so hopefully we can find a good place. There are some excellent places around, but they are out of our reach, financially.
Yeah, we ran into the same issue, but we paid for the first 4 months while getting their house ready for market. Selling the house was wrenching, but it had to be done to pay for their care. The cost tho for the home and care was going to be a problem after a couple of years.
Watching UFC 330 coming out of Philadelphia. It’s still a few fights short of the main ticket, but all the prelim fights have been quite good. What’s pretty encouraging is how in at least 4 of the fights the winners gave public thanks to Jesus Christ for saving their lives and giving them victory at the start of their post-fight interview in the ring. In one case, Joe Rogan was waiting almost a minute to talk to the winner while the opponents grabbed arms and prayed.
Quite a difference from the NFL broadcasters always cutting away from the post-game prayer circle that players do immediately after the game at the 50-yard line.
Full credit to Dana White who pretty much lets the the fighters do/say whatever they want.
