I’m continuing work on stripping the paint off the brick fireplace. I’ve found a wire brush works the best. The problem at this point -- aside from kneeling -- is the solvents in the stripper, particularly the xylene. I can work for about five minutes before I have to leave the room. We’ve got fans going, but it’s really too hot out to have the windows open.
