Good morning, GN. Looking at the political maps this morning, worse than I imagined it could be, especially in Texas. Doesn’t bode well for 2028 or America.
Happy “Medicare for All” Wednesday, Gerbil Nation!
Good morning, Sven!
Thread pic: Your primary care physician can see you in six months. The pharmacy is out of bandages, but should get some in February. We’ll need to confiscate your bike to prevent additional injuries. Thanks again for voting Democrat-Socialist.
I was not too surprised at the results, though sad. Even if we had won, I was depressed at what I have been seeing from American voters. When the left went after American education, they struck home. I see little or no hope for our future.
I’m of two thoughts today. 1) in 2028, POTUS is likely to go to teh dems. Their messaging for the next two years, as Trump vetoes bill after bill, is that if they have the White House, all those wonderful things that Trump blocked can come true. 2) Am I wrong in my own thoughts and beliefs since I’m at odds with so many of my fellow Americans?
And still, this isn’t the time for despair or wallowing in oh woe for America. It’s a definite setback for us, but we’ve had setbacks before. I feel estranged from my countrymen that vote for teh left, but there’s still plenty of company on the side I’ve chosen. Do I need to understand them, research their points of view, have conversations? No. If I were younger, maybe, but not at my age if that makes sense. The side I’ve chosen believes facts matter, history matters, God matters. Feelings and power, not so much.

Heh. I sent my Texan friend in Houston a text saying “Welcome to California.”
