Just did another experimental music stream. Low production value. no focus mostly in the monitor light.
I guess I should link it here just for the heck of it. I have no real direction or plan, which is a problem, I guess, but anyway, here is a youtube link:
up until recently, I’ve just done game streaming--just a way to keep busy between jobs, etc. I have a strange feeling though that I ought to be doing something with multi-line improv and live streaming, so that’s why I’ve been experimenting with it.
questions or comments are welcome, and very useful no matter how brutal : )
Just read about the quakes in Puerto Rico earlier this morning; the kids just moved back there on 12/30. (Didn’t know about the 5.8 yesterday, either.)
Criminy.
Since electricity’s reportedly out -- or mostly out -- on the whole island due to power station failsafes, communications are exceedingly dodgy at-best right now. On the plus side, no deaths reported that I’ve been able to find and only eight injuries.
Anxiety Level: moderately concerned…but I’m a worry-wart about folks I love. 😉

I’m slammed today with JimCo stuff and will probably not have a chance to check-out your video until this evening.
I originally started archiving all my improvs as MIDI so that Harper could listen to them whenever she wanted. I have years and years of them on the cloud, Originally, I was going to go through some of them and pick out some more coherent and balanced ones and edit them into actual pieces of music and then rerecord them. But I only ever did that once. I think, If I remember correctly, you heard the result of the one I did so long ago.
Happy Tuesday, Gerbil Nation!
Good morning, dv8, and Fatwa!
Our generous TSWadministrator must be checking in regularly as yesterday’s comment made the side-bar.
Fatwa -- thanks for the info on your family. Not coming from an area prone to earthquakes, I’m sure that back-to-back quakes must have been very scary. I’m glad they’re ok.
dv8 -- thanks for the video. I don’t know enough about music to say anything besides I enjoyed what I heard and am in awe of your talent.
There’s the whole presentation thing, which admittedly is pretty rough. As I said, there is little or no plan. And I guess I have a feeling that more carefully produced and engineered and edited videos are more interesting to people. But this is all just impromptu stuff, so… there you are.
I want to make some Icelandic Fish Soup. I won’t post a recipe just yet, because I’ve only made it once before. It’s kind of a pricey soup to make because the fish and shrimp and stuff is expensive, not to mention that it calls for saffron.
I became curious about it when Pewdiepie vacationed in Iceland and mentioned that one thing he loved up there was that they had fish soup like he used to be able to get in Sweden.
Now, he lives in the UK and just bought a home in Japan. Not sure if he and his wife are planning to go back and forth periodically.
Anyway, I digress. I made this soup once and it was delicious, except for some of the fish was overcooked due to the fact that my gas stove is a bit wimpy. I’m pretty sure I know what to do now to compensate.
I kind of wish I’d bought a new stove when I had a bit of spare cash.
Mornin’ Wheelizens!

G’day, GN!

BBL.
Hope the fambly is ok. Re advice and consent: No pressure, dude.

Heard from FTR about 08:15 Larryville Standard Time; they’re all okay.
TEH YAY!!1!
7-y.o., 5-y.o. and the puppies are -- understandably -- a bit freaked-out. (So are the rest of ’em, but less so.)
No power there for recharging stuff, so we kept convo very short. They’re skeptical of the gummint’s claim they should get power back sometime today.
Glad that FTR and Son-in-Law are smart and resourceful.
And they’re getting to know some of their new neighbors. 😉
glad the family is ok. I’m relieved to here it.

Well that’s anything!

Thank you for the kind words and for listening.
Fatwa, prayers have begun for your family. I’m relieved that they’re safe!
“Do you suspect y’all are playing a role in a poorly-written, knock-off fairy tale?”
So, you have noticed my lovely little bent wand!
Plaguie! So wonderful to see you! It’s a treat any time you are able to drop by!
It’s wonderful to see you too, Paddy. A real pleasure.

It’s snowing in Bountiful! Right-click to open in a new tab for a bigger view.
Hi Jerry!
That’s absolutely beautiful!
Will you be doing this to any of your neighbor’s cars?
Who knew Russians had such a sense of humor?
Jerry AND Miss Harper!
Glad the family is OK, Fatwa.
I see CNN caved to Sandman. Hope they got their clocks cleaned and that it’s only the first.
Same here, Sven. I also hope that they held out for an apology as part of the deal.
I have the feeling that Trump’s retaliation plans for Iran don’t involve rebuilding the country afterwards.
Back to the stone age, fellers.
