Will Senate Republicans have the cojones to hold off confirming any Biden SCOTUS pick until after the November elections?

It’s extraordinarily frustrating that a few shitty HOA people can spend more than a year trying to extort money from a contractor who did nothing wrong…and there’s effectively no legal remedy.
Certain parties have no idea how fortunate they are I reside at the opposite end of the country.

Sven -- I hope SCE doesn’t decide to pull your power.
I read a couple of interesting takes on SCOTUS nominations yesterday. One is that the VP can only break a tie in the Senate for bills, not nominations (Lawrence Tribe and Alan Dershowitz). The other is that under a power-sharing agreement between Schumer and McConnell, you could end up with a tie vote in the Judiciary Committee. That would effectively freeze the nomination, until someone moved that the matter be taken up by the full Senate. At which point the nominee has not been recommended by the committee, so the nuclear option is no longer in play and it would take 60 votes for cloture.
My guess is that McConnell will hold strong until after the November elections, then with firm control of the Senate, and a majority on the Judiciary Committee, he’ll have a couple of Republicans side with the Democrats to move the nominee out of committee, where a few more will turn and “regretfully” support Biden’s nominee.
I hereby nominate the esteemed and truly authentic African American woman of color -- Rachel Dolezal. Of course, the esteemed and truly authentic Native American woman of color -- Elizabeth Warren should be considered as well.
