Obligatory “Gaaaaaaaaaaah…Monday!!!1!” from Happy Larryville, GN!
In the race between Jerry and Ol’ Man Winter, my money’s on Jerry.
Who might want to avoid driving his Van O’ Doom “around the Capitol and certain parts of Pennsylvania Ave.” on Wednesday since the Two Million Biker Ride counter-protest to the Million Muslim March will be taking place despite the fact teh bikers were denied a permit.
Teh Yayâ„¢ for this instance of civil disobedience!
I hope they have a good crowd of riders and, frankly, make the MPD and Capitol cops’ job difficult quite vexing.
Good morning, Gerbil Nation!
Week two of school is upon us!
Hopefully, the appliance parts store near Mrs. Paddy’s work has the part I need, otherwise it will be a warm week.
Good morning, Fatwa!
I’ll have to keep my eyes peeled Wednesday for any media reportage of the biker counter-protest.
I just finished installing the last fixed panel of glass in the sunroom. Tomorrow it’s on to the exterior trim.
Oh, and this morning I completed a financial model for an oil company client. I specialize (in my retirement) on interactive Excel financial models. They only have to enter about 60 data elements and my 40 macros and around 25,000 formulae (“formulae” ’cause I’m fancy!) will give them up to 10 years of forecasts at infinite levels of production.
Congratters on getting the last of the glass installed.
After it cools down here in the next several weeks, I’ll be taking all of the shutters down for priming and painting -- along with painting the new front door -- and cleaning the gutters; wheeeee!1
I think you only did that to get Wheelizens to scroll to teh top of the page and jiggle your balls.
Our shutters are vinyl, so they won’t need to be scraped; just pressure washed, primed and painted. And re-hung, of course; not looking forward to the eight from the second floor.
I’ll try to remember to ask Paddy about “that story”.
Poor ol’ Jerry got two booboos today. One a cut on my left thumb and another on my left index finger. Looks like I’ll be cheating on myself with my right-handed self for the next week. Don’t nobody tell!
I take it you’re a southpaw? (I am; only thing I’ve ever found really annoying about it was using a cartridge or fountain pen. And trying to find left-handed music nibs; used to carefully file-down right-handed ones in the bad old days before I could use a computer for printing music.)
Good evening, Gerbil Nation!
The appliance parts store doesn’t stock a/c parts, but they recommended another that did. The part has been purchased, installed, and the a/c is functioning!
What’s this I hear about Jerrie doing something with a model? Oil was involved? And he got two boobs on his left hand?
As for Jerrie’s shutters -- what happens in Bountiful, stays in Bountiful.
I watched teh news tonight to see where we stood with Syria. I can’t make heads or tails of it, but some folks are once again proclaiming Obama the smartest man ever so I know something is out of whack.

Compare and contrast:
Good luck to Mrs. Paddy, Paddy!
FWIW, I’ve a gut feeling that things will get a little ugly in D.C. on Wednesday (assuming a large number bikers, which I believe will be the case).
Denying them a permit will likely turn out to be some faceless
bureaucratcrap-weasel-y minion “acting stupidly”. 😉Mac --
Is today’s thread GIF of some podunk SWAT team training with “dummy” flash-bangs? 😉
(Appreciated your caption; sad “heh!”)
GOOD AFTERNOON/EVENING EVERYONE!
Greetings from devoone Bountiful.
I sure do hope y’all are having a superior day, ’cause you just know I am.

Hiya, Jerry!

Mac,
I’m thinking the thread GIF is of some ghey (nttawwt) Irish wannabe terrorists practicing for the St. Patrick’s Day parade.
AmIright? AmIright?
Hiya Fatwa!
Sounds like you’ll be a busy boy, too. Ah, shutters. They are a very sore spot for me. You’ll have to ask Paddy about that story.
Made a small change to the Wheel’s tag line to make it more accurate.

Awww, so alone, so very alone.
See y’all laterz, if’n yer lucky.
Awwwwwww…sorry I missed you, man.

Teh yay for functioning A/C…and a store employee who knew where to refer Mrs. Paddy.
I shutter [sic] to think of what may have transpired.
