Fatwa Arbuckle: Misanthropologist

Good morning from springlike Happy Larryville, GN!

I’m sure that K8-E’s cheese platter will be much nicer than this:

Off to trim the bushes in front of CasaK…

(Take it away, Paddy!) 😉

Does that include Jeb? ‘Cuz he could sure stand being trimmed from the list of presidential contenders.

I’d say “trimming” is an understatement; I’m thinking chainsawing…followed by dynamiting the stump.

(This applies pretty much to the lot of ’em.)

So I was just watching some episodes of The Avengers (season 4), and I always imagined Harper in her Aston Martin as Mrs. Peel. Elegant, sophisticated, beats up bad guys…

Good morning, happy Saturday, and thanks, Mac, for like the creepiest thread vid ever.

Slept in this morning. Was up at 3:30 with a headache, watched a little teevee, and then went back to bed until like 9:00. Watching the news, I see that the Koch brothers still havent given back that Malaysian jet that they stole.

Mrs Sven is better, but not well.

In the maybe good news category, the Oakland Raiders picked up QB Matt Schaub from Houston. Probably the only example this year of an employee leaving Texas to go to work in California. Here’s hoping that Matt turns out to be the second coming of Jim Plunkett,

I hope the “better” movement continues, Sven. Poor thing.
It feels like crap when it seems like your body’s betraying you. I can empathize.

Home briefly before I get to run off to the County convention. The cattle auction was interesting, having never been to one before, and there were some tremendous bulls that went up first -- I’m glad we weren’t in the market for one of those, the smallest and youngest went for something like $3800.
o_0

There were only 40-some-odd bulls, but over 200 cows, heifers, and mom and calf pairs. None went below $2K.

So we’re getting a SCREAMING barter deal that Mr. X worked out, AND the client’s neighbor has two heifers that are ready to be weaned that we can get for well below market price. AND he’ll hold all three together in a pen for a week so they get to know each before he transports them here.
Screaming deal. Even our neighbor said, “Y’all better take that deal while he’s offering.” Mr. X called him when we got home.

And now, I gotta go make myself presentable for the County convention.
::fingers crossed:: we did our jobs on the resolutions…

Wrap up tomorrow (without too much Robert’s Rules tedium I hope)

BFN.
*mwah!*

::headsmack::
Oh, and crap, Kaaaaaate-y! Your sons have been to too many funerals in their young lives. My prayers for all.

Tired, but happy post-reception greetings, GN! I think the only Disney song they didn’t play is the one y’all are hoping I will not mention for fear of earwigs.
In spite of the Disney theme, it was a lovely ceremony and a great party and the Hall looked beautiful ( until it was over and we had to clean up the mess).
All but 6 of the fish died. Most before the ceremony was over. oops.

Oh, and the Mickey Mouse head- shaped Cheese display worked surprisingly well.
