If I were in-town, I’d happily volunteer to taste-test your meatballs. š
Since Paddy and Sven have asked after my caulk (NTTAWWT):
All went well, although a few sections of both crown and base required two applications owing to gravity and bowed drywall. All touch-up painting got completed; CleverSpouseK suggested (and furnished) a small watercolor brush for moulding touch-up, which saved much painter’s tape and time, especially fastener holes and corners.
Pretty pleased with the overall results; construction phase is finally complete.
Started setting-up large IKEA unit late in the afternoon and confirmed un-felicitous stud placement in re to securing same. Devised simple, cheap (under $5.00) alternative and will shortly be off to Lowe’s for hardware plus some standards/brackets pine shelving which will go above my desk. (More painting; feh.)
Figure I’ll spend today dealing with the rest of the shelving stuff so I can start schlepping, unpacking and arranging books, LPs and CDs tomorrow. Followed by moving furniture (desk, “light-sucking” leather furniture, teak coffee table my Dad made when I was a kid, lamps and ancillary items).
After SiL and I wall-mount teh KLH speakers, I can move teh computer/workstation out of the living room and set-up the rest of my audio gear.
(Since I drew-up a floor plan many moons ago, I already know the one optimal arrangement of stuff, which will save much “why don’t we try this here and that there?” codswallop.)
McVicar? Kinda remember it but not that well. The only song off of that that I recall is Bitter and Twisted. Not a bad tune.
Good on you Fatwa, with the caulking and overall remodeling. Bet it looks great. Is there room in your office to hold on to my prize until I can work out shipping?
Picked up these kinda cool solar lanterns. They are inflatable for easy storage and put out a lot of light. Nice little disaster thing.

Is that the one with the line, “A psychopath never takes a bath ‘cuz he’ll wash away his hate”?

I read that WAY wrong. I should probably have some more caffeine. Or something.
Oy.
I swear, some weeks it seems like it’s all I can do to keep my head on straight, and then the weekends fly by before I get a full recharge.
But hey, the NRA Convention is this weekend with 9 acres of stuff and friends coming in from CA to attend. Should be a good time.
So I got that going for me.
Other than that, ::gurgle, gurgle::. And happy unpacking, Fatwa!
Hiya JtB, you are welcome. I wear these blue gloves because I sometimes have to get down into Fatwa’s html code. At that point they get kinda brown, IYKWIMAITTYD. Next I be getting plumber’s crack. If I do I swear to god that I’ll post the pictures right here at the Wheel.
Happy Tuesday, Gerbil Nation!
I’d ask about Fatwa’s caulk, but that just wouldn’t seem right.
No, it wouldn’t. But be sure to ask him to post photos of his big deck. I hear it’s wood, all wood man.

Kings are 14:1 to repeat as champs. Favorite is Pittsburgh at 7:2 followed by the Blackhawks at 15:4.
Mark my words: it aint going to be the Penguins.
