CLEVELAND (AP) — A brawl that started over spilled punch at a kindergarten graduation ceremony Friday resulted in the arrest of eight people, authorities said. Police were called when one participant pulled out a pipe and another a hammer.
Serving a beverage called “punch” probably encourages a culture of violence. Therefore, it should be banned, tightly regulated and/or require a background check. Not to mention a waiting period to purchase rainbow sherbet and club soda.
Two teenage girls apparently started hitting each other at Michael R. White Elementary School, and their families joined in, Cleveland police Cmdr. Wayne Drummond said. The fight involved adults and minors, he said.

The tree in the center is a tri-color Beech. The leaves start out as deep purple centers with bright pink edges and gradually change to light green centers with white edges. The tree to its right is a purple fountain beech.
The poor ol’ willow oak suffered during last summer’s derecho. I had to save it by having almost all of the center removed to keep it from splitting in half.
