Sure Happy It’s Thursday, GN!!1!

In re the cartoonists’ campaign against guns: why not start with your own profession? (Note -- not all of the clips feature guns; some contain “explosive devices”, which surely encourages other acts of “terrorism”.)

Sheesh, Fatwa, what cartoonists do is ART. It has no effect on the real world.

Sure Happy It’s Thursday, Gerbil Nation!
Tonight at school we have our annual “Light Up the Night” event -- sort of an open house where all departments showcase what they do. It used to be a report card night, but hardly any parents showed up to talk to teachers about their kids grades, so it was changed. Chemistry will once again be making slime. Because of the timing of the event, it’s not worth it to go home before the event, so it’s going to be a looooong day.

G’morning, Paddy!

Chemistry will once again be making slime.

Oooooooh…more school board members and yoonyun officials?!? Yay!!

*Claps hands in delight*

Presuming this is true, heh.

John Boehner delivered a sharp response to Harry Reid, who last week accussed the House speaker of running “dictatorship.” The top Republican reportedly told the top Senate Democrat, “Go f— yourself.”

“What are you talking about?” Reid replied, at the White House.

“Go f— yourself,” Boehner repeated.

Right backatcha, Oompa Loompa Boy.

How did this not get wider coverage in January when it allegedly occurred?

Good morning! Saw 2 great shows last night. We arrived early to the House of Blues and checked out a house cover band in the main bar. I think we saw the re-incarnation of Stevie Ray Vaughn.. Trey Tosh. He was amazing! After being blown away by his incredible guitar, SOJA took the main stage. They are just about the best reggae band out there these days (for a bunch of craplocked white guys). I had a blast with my hubby and daughter, dancing the night away. Surprised, we could even see the band through all the medical marijuana smoke!. We must have a LOT of sick people here in San Diego! It seemed everyone had their “meds” with them last night. All in all, it was a great night! I am definitely going to try to track Trey Tosh again. He is very young..too young to have acquired all that talent. A prodigy for sure.

Hey, Cali!

Nice to “see” you; glad you and your family enjoyed the show.

A prodigy for sure.

Felt the same way when I first heard this cut from a then-eighteen-year-old pianist named Eldar Djangirov. When I purchased the CD, I was pleasantly surprised to discover that his ballad playing was stunningly tasteful for a kid with the sort of “chops” (technique) he’s got.

I must admit that there are sections of this which are so blazingly fast, I can barely follow what he does mentally. I literally cannot imagine what it must be like to have such command of the piano.

DJ Hayden-cornerback out of Houston. Gruden is kinda so so about it. Good defensive back against the pass-not so great against the run-not a great tackler. Took a hit last year and had to have some type of heart surgery so they wonder if he’ll be the same player.

Whatever. This season might be the start of rebuilding that franchise, but I won’t be getting in any more bar fights over this team.

Manti Te’o is still on the board. Probably waiting anxiously at home and talking to his girlfriend on the phone.

Kings arent looking good after dropping their last 2 games. Last game on Saturday and it will determine where they end up for the post season. Not optimistic. We could drop all the way down from 4th to 7th.

And on the plus side, it werent reggae.

That’s a musical style which -- like most opera, much electronica, yodeling and folk music -- I doubt I’ll ever learn to enjoy.

Jim teh Roofer is not very excited about the Kings this season.

Can’t blame him-they got off to a terrible start and have been inconsistent all season. On the other hand, that’s the way they were last year and they ended up with the Cup.
