BW & I felt like that skater guy in the thread picture when we left Oklahoma.
We had a great time, even better than last month.
No ATM hits.
No digging into secret money stash.
Just winning, winning, winning!
Well, mostly…
BW had this weird thing going with a dollar machine. If I stood by or played it, we got nothing. When she played it alone, it spewed out money. She played it & I snatched up her receipts & pocketed them. The largest was $318.
We played all day (expect for our free lunch & senior breakfast). At cash out time, we had won back all the money that we went there to lose, less $60.
In our view, that is a win.
Later that night, BW reached into her pocket & said “You are going to kill me. I forgot this ticket in my back pocket.” Ugh.I was dreading it. I thought that all tickets had to be cashed in that day. But- it turned out that they are good for two weeks & it was only for $15. So that wasn’t bad.
I did spend most of Thursday in bed with a back pill, but it was worth it!

Prayers are continuing fort hose that need it & those that don’t.
So, how many of us are disappointed in Issa? He churns and churns, but nothing at all seems to get resolved or explained or even called back to testify after they effectively waived their right to take the 5th.
Yeah, that’s kinda pointed. I guess I’m feeling a little pointy today.
Happy Friday, Gerbil Nation!
I read most of the Radley Balko article, Fatwa -- thanks for the link. Unfortunately, there is almost nothing anyone can do about the situation. It would literally take an act of Congress to change the law, and since most members of Congress are lawyers, and that removing immunity from some might lead to their own immunity disappearing, I don’t see that happening.
As you probably know, I think members of Congress also need to be stripped of their immunity.
While there are many reasons I believe that, the fact they don’t actually read and understand the legislation they vote on ought to be sufficient justification all by itself.
And there most certainly is a way to fix the bad prosecutors / judges / legislators / cops situation. It starts with picketing in front of peoples’ homes. Because when they abuse their positions to make us -- and our families -- unsafe in our own homes, they ought to, shall we say, “feel our pain”.
I guess I’m a hard-liner: the Constitution either is or is not the supreme law of the land; there’s no wiggle room.
Agreed. But perhaps it’s the last throes of the race card gambit. Im thinking people might have had enough.
Flipping through the teevee channels and there’s a white lawyer and a black lawyer discussing the feds investigating George Zimmerman for civil rights violations . The white lawyer says there’s nothing there-no evidence from the FBI’s initial investigation, nothing from the state trial. The black lawyer says the DOJ investigation isnt done and so it’s too early to say there’s nothing there-let them finish investigating.
And Im thinking, there’s an investigation-based on what? Does the FBI open an investigation every time a non-black kills a black? Every time a black kills a white?
It’s bullshit this kowtowing to the black grievance industry.
I skimmed part of that; it seems to be all about emotional appeals, “making a connection”, telling compelling stories and other happy liberal horseshit.
I also noticed the link contains “Rabbi_Study_Materials”; in a rational world, Joooooos would be especially friendly to the 2A. Just because there’s scant history of pogroms in America doesn’t mean that’ll always be the case.
I sort of like that JFPO is more, shall we say, enthusiastic than the NRA.
I believe Best Man , who’s not a Joooooo, joined them a few years back just because he didn’t want to put all of eggs in teh NRA basket. (And he appreciated their moxie.) 😉
If only the Jews in 1930s Germany had had a strong government to protect them from those early Tea Party groups. Clearly these folks are determined that “never again” will a lack of government power leave them vulnerable.
This is all even more ironic given the strong bias of the current administration against Israel and for the people that want to kill all the dirty Jews. Do they really regard Obama as their friend?
Some years ago, Mom attended the funeral of a Jewish acquaintance from the folks’ civil rights involvement during the sixties. There were a lot of old (and not so old) Jewish socialists in attendance, including the deceased.
Mom was terribly amused that the Trotksyites and Leninists were still irked with one another…even at the funeral. Which gave her the giggles.
TGI…WTbloomin’F???!???
*Rubs eyes*
I guess I must be dreaming or something.
*Pinches self*
Ow! Apparently, I’m not asleep…need moar kawfee.
I must think on this.
Friday O grabbin’!
Huh? This is not how I pictured ZOG.

Bye Rabbit-sorry I missed you. Good job on not hitting the ATM-one day I’ll be brave enough to leave my ATM card at home before going….
Is Fort Hose in Texas?
Neener, neener, neener, RabBeet. Glad you two had a good time in OK and hope your back’s better this morning.
Heh. Here’s a more accurate representation:
Betcha didn’t know King Kong was a Jooooooo, didja?
“Today, teh Empire State Building…tomorrow, THE WORLD!!! Muwahahahahahaha!”
It’s in between Fort Spigot and Fort Nozzle. (Do I get points for keeping this comment “family friendly”? Didn’t want to sully the new décor quite yet.)
Much as I am loathe to give HuffPo any traffic, I commend this long article by Radley Balko: The Untouchables: America’s Misbehaving Prosecutors, And The System That Protects Them
G’morning, Rabbit & Sven.
So, how many of us are disappointed in Issa? He churns and churns, but nothing at all seems to get resolved or explained or even called back to testify after they effectively waived their right to take the 5th.

Count me in.
It’s never polite to point a finger at someone but it’s ALWAYS polite to point those puppies at me.

Fuck Charlie Rangel -- and the rest of the CBC -- with a fire hose, a German Shepherd and a cattle prod.
Enough race baiting; kindly die in screaming, protracted agony, you evil POS.

How do you like the new site? I can feel it every time you mouse over my balls and make them jiggle and me giggle. Don’t stop!
I liked the new site until I read that. 😉
My one minor criticism: Can “reply” comments be indented more -- or differentiated in some other way?
*Srcolls back up to top to jiggle Jerry’s balls*
(He deserves it for being a generous and gracious host.)
Looks nice, Jerry. Perhaps with the new site tho, you won’t win the captioning contest every Friday.
Grand news out of California-

But hey, let’s further restrict the Second Amendment at the same time.
This is one of the most interesting things I’ve read lately: the gun control lobby’s strategy book:

Well, there’s always the JFPFO, but yeah, your tribe does lean left, Fatwa.

Wow. Thanks, Sven.

I simply don’t get it, Mac…just as I don’t understand their attraction to socialism.
You’d think five thousand years of persecution would have served as a cluebat of sorts.
*Shakes head*
Oy…my people.
I don’t know if I ever mentioned this here.

I ’bout plotzed when she told me.
