Re teh “White Santa” flap: Saw a Tweet yesterday from a black conservative which read (paraphrasing a bit): “I like Santa being white; I can pretend his presents are reparations.”
Ol’ Jerr got his bad self a bread maker and I’m goin’ to town. I made some French bread for myself and my gal Sarah.
Now I’m making the starter for our favorite — Sourdough bread. It’s an eight day process. I’m on day three and Sarah is most impatient. I posted the recipe on teh Group -- Food, Glorious Food.
If it’s willie-chilling there, you need one of these:
Congrats on teh bread maker; I freakin’ lurve sourdough.
Edit: Just looked at the sourdough starter recipe; it’s a shame you have to throw the unused portion out; I know there are starters one can make and keep alive for a very long time. Will try to do some Googling later…
