K8-E --

Bummer about teh tiered nacho dip platter. 🙁

It was indeed named The Great Buffet Table Collapse of 2013 which makes me wonder how we top it next year?

Hmmmmm…a big pie fight, replete with folks belly-sliding along multiple banquet tables?

Or perhaps the KFH&BBQ Santa could be persuaded to portray Mr. Creosote?

Brenda just suggested lining the walls of Keith’s with plastic sheeting (ala “Dexter”) and in fact having a ginormous pay-per-throw pie fight.

Bulk cheap pie shells and Whip-Its aren’t all that expensive…

Oooooh…whipped cream filled Super Soakers!

Good morning and echoing Fatwa: great thread pic, Mac.

Slow day planned around here--still not feeling fully up to snuff. Did treat myself last night by dropping $50 on a PPV: UFC 168. Disastrous end to Anderson Silva’s bid to reclaim the middleweight title. If you have a strong stomach, do a video search for Anderson Silva and leg. At 38, I don’t think he’s coming back.

On a plus note, today is the end of the regular NFL season which means I won’t be tormenting myself by watching any more Raider games for at least eight months. Might hit the bar to catch our last one against Denver…or maybe not. There’s only so much pain I can handle.

A blessed Sabbath, Gerbil Nation!
Good morning, Fatwa!

A pie fight? You mean like this?

I think we all know who trips and falls into the cake.

Hai, Sven and Paddy!

Criminy.

ST. PETERSBURG — Police officers will now face tougher standards in their use of deadly force.

In one of his last acts as police chief, Chuck Harmon on Tuesday made significant changes to the policy that dictates how and when officers are allowed to fire their weapons.

Officers now must be able to see who they are shooting at before firing, said Harmon, who also stiffened penalties for policy violators.

“It’s reasonable to ask people to know what they’re shooting at,” Harmon told the Tampa Bay Times on Tuesday. “We carry firearms on a daily basis. We are trained professionally. It’s a big deal.”

Nice that they’ve decided to embrace at least one of the basic rules of firearms safety. What’s next…taking their oaths to the Constitution seriously?
