Like Kate, I’m unhappy about the time change this weekend. Enjoying the mornings now with daylight coming on as I putter around the house.
Not impressed with Issa from yesterday’s hearing, but that guy Cummings was a bigger joke. Still, it’s been a year now since this IRS scandal broke, and still no answers.
Due to scumbags like those in the Congressional Black Caucus, I’ve largely come to feel that the death threats my family -- and so many others -- got fighting for civil rights in the ’50s and ’60s weren’t worth the results.
After yesterday’s shameful non-performance by Issa, Woodall and the rest of the Oversight Committee, I probably ought to resign myself to the IRS’ role as the Department of Punishing Wrong-Thinking Kulaks -- Legal and Financial Sodomy Division.
I go nuthin’ else…save a hatred for our public servants masters hotter than a thousand suns.

It seems that Issa is still threatening contempt of Congress charges if something something. I wonder if he is taking his negotiating cues from President Redline?
As Backhoe would say, “Tumbrels, guillotines, heads on pikes at the foot of the causeway.”
I recall the puling, mewling and general butthurt John and Ken’s “Heads On Sticks” campaign caused in CA; it’d be fun if that went national. (And doesn’t require very highly-developed PhotoChop skills.)
I just watched a wonderful piece of anti-gun propaganda on HBO’s Real Sports. Kids and guns and how the evil gun manufacturers are targeting children with their marketing campaigns. Trying to hook them early.
