I know certain sorts of jackassery play well with a segment of GOP voters here in GA, but it troubles me that a deranged scientific illiterate like Paul Broun, who, sadly, sits on the House Science and Technology Committee, hasn’t been laughed out of the Senate primary yet. (Not that any of the other choices are particularly winning, but Broun is like GA’s version of Alan Keyes; he says a whole bunch of things with which I heartily concur and than veers-off into dementia with a disturbing nonchalance.)
Off to Chicago early tomorrow morning. I’m hoping this is my last trip. Just packing up corporate records and having them shipped to Bountiful. Man, retirement sure has kept me busy. I do like to travel and could live just out of hotel rooms forever.
