Good morning and happy Tuesday!

Poof!

Fatwa Arbuckle: Misanthropologist

Good morning from increasingly autumnal, Happy Larryville, GN!

Hai, poofing Sven!

Fatwa — just replace ‘Hummel’ with ‘Capodimonte’.

Done…and much appreciated; hee! (We’d leave Sven’s gift kitteh out of it, because CapodimonteK is quite fond of it…and it was very thoughtful of him.)

Paddy --

Given the reaction of both new attorneys, this is looking more and more like an ill-conceived, nasty little scheme to get rid of you for reasons which have nothing to do with the BS allegations. And that you threw a plumber’s wrench into the gears of their cunning plan by not rolling-over immediately.

(“I received a few complaints and informally counseled Mr. O’Furnijur over the years.”)

O RLY?

If they try to pull that, one would think there’d be some sort of record, especially given the propensity of scumbag bureaucrats to cover their collective skanky asses. And this “hearing wouldn’t be until mid-June, at the earliest” business also stinks to high heaven; it’d be interesting to know whether this is in compliance with the District’s and/or yoonyun’s own rules.

Criminy…I hope your meeting this morning goes well and that you now have competent representation.

Given the reaction of both new attorneys

The reaction is more to the lack of action by the previous attorney than anything else.

one would think there’d be some sort of record

There most definitely would be, but that wouldn’t stop someone from lying and saying they didn’t document the instances because they didn’t want to put a black mark on my record. I’m getting the distinct impression that it is quite common for teachers and administrators to just ‘go along to get along’ in these cases, even if it means sacrificing their integrity.

it’d be interesting to know whether this is in compliance with the District’s and/or yoonyun’s own rules.

At the point of the hearing, it’s the state Education Code that is followed. The hearing is held before an Administrative Law judge and two teachers, one of my choosing, one of the district’s. Between the time it takes for discovery and depositions and the small pool of judges, that’s the first available opening. There will later be a hearing before the Commission on Teacher Credentialing to see whether or not I keep my credential, but that will be at least 3 years from now.

Good morning, Gerbil Nation!
Good morning poofy Sven and autumnal Fatwa!
It’s going to be another hot one, but it’s supposed to cool down into the 80’s by the end of the week, so I guess we have this to look forward to:

Good morning, Sven-teh-Poofter, Paddy and, of course, Darling Snoogie-woogums Fatwa.

IANAL, but that seems like sloppy, incompetent and just plain weak counsel by the first lot.

Thanks for the update Paddy; this whole situation makes me more than a little peevish. ‘Cause it’s totally fvcked and I am angry you’re being put through this carp scurrilous shit.

Any idea yet who might be the real driver of this squalid, shameful bus? (Given the totality of circs, a simple yes or no would be fine. Ditto no response whatsoever.)

…Darling Snoogie-woogums Fatwa.

Eww, yuck…not in front of teh Gerbies. 😉

No, but I tend to think the best of people, so I look for explanations that don’t involve vendettas. Interestingly enough, the criminal defense attorney I spoke with this morning (a good, east-coast, jooooish lawyer) asked basically the same question. He also said that usually, when the DA declines to pursue the case, the school district just writes a ‘don’t do it again’ letter to put in your file and puts you back in the classroom, so he’s not sure just what’s going on here or who I pissed off.

I passed Teh Test! Only got a 93 ’cause I did not listen to Paddy about that old “studying” blah blah blah.

“Good morning from increasingly autumnal, Happy Larryville,” LALALALALALA I can’t hear you! It’s not Autumn. It’s just AlGore.

Hai, Kate!
Did you miss the question about the proper embalming fluid to use for a kosher buffet? I told you you needed to review these things with Fatwa!

As long as I purchase the embalming fluid from a certified source and keep it below 41 degrees or over 135, we’re within regs. oh, and wash my hands while singing Happy Birthday.
