Since about 22.00 last night, Charter Communications has been unable to tell us definitively why our internetz keep going out…or if there’s even a problem at all.
(Hint: There is…since at times even a hardwired connection directly to the modem will not work. Apparently Charter’s “default position” is to assume their customers are dumbshits.)
They really need to figure out some way to ensure their “representatives” tell the same lie(s) consistently. 🙁
Oh, and Paddy, I’ve solved your school problem. Just tell them that you’re a gay, albino black and that you are converting to Islam. That should end the discussion.
In a while we will be heading 40 miles North to Sherman for our pre-op appointment. Tomorrow we need to get up at 4 AM to go there for Elena’s surgery. It is outpatient so I should be bringing her home sometime in the afternoon. I hope the meds keep her comfortable for the hour drive back.
I think I have or will have everything set up but if a thread does not load will someone just go in and boot it (hit update) as this seems to do the job when I forget something and it hangs?
Getting up a 4 AM sucks. I usually go to bed around then. Interesting times.
OK, so yesterday evening Mark, my neighbor who lost his wife last year, came over to return some tools I had loaned him earlier. I was just about to head to the bathroom when the doorbell rang. He is a little lonely and wanted to talk so we talked while I nudged him to the gate. A lot was going on internally. My butt began to play the sad trombone with occasional cymbals for flourish. Of course, that’s better than the usual Kaliope that goes on down there!
I’m not as good at multi-tasking bodily functions as I used to be. Soooo, I really had to pee as well. I had to put my hands in my pockets to push the fabric away so that he would not be confronted by a small but growing wet spot on my pants. I finally just said, “I gotta go” and trotted off with him still talking.
Happy Headless Monday, Gerbil Nation!
Good day, Dianna, Sven, Fatwa, Jerry, and Mac!
Jerry -- great idea! I was thinking transgendered or intersexed (whatever the h3ll that means), but those are just minor details.
Fatwa -- I never knew Cinderella was an islamic story. I must think on this.
Mac -- prayers for you and Elena. I hope the surgery goes well and you have a safe, comfortable journey.
Good morning, happy Monday, and don’t lose your head!
Monday again? Gaaaaaaaaaaaaaah!

Addendum(b):
The thread GIF didn’t load properly earlier; heh.
*Sings tunelessly*
“Salagadoola mechicka boola bibbiti beheading you!”
GOOD MORNING EVERYONE!
Greetings from it’s beginning to feel a lot like fall Bountiful.
I surely do hope y’all have a wonderful day, ’cause you just know I will.
Hiya, Sven and Fatwa (in reverse alphabetical order, sorted by religion).
Is it too late to sign up for EbolaCare?

Naughty Jerry.
But will that offset being conservative ?
No, you are right Mac, nothing offsets being conservative, not even ISIS/ISIL/IS in the minds of liberals.

Mac, warm wishes and best of luck to you but especially Elena
Heh, you said beheading!
Shouldn’t beheading really be called deheading?
You and Elena are in my thoughts. That’s a longish drive when you hurt!
Drive-by:
Hai, Dianna, Mac und Jerry!
Mac --
Safe journeys to you and Elena; hope that all goes well!
I believe teh Brits call it “unheading”. 😉
Hmm…I must think on this.
