Sub-freezing greetings from Happy Larryville, GN!

Paddy --

Nice to read the tuck-pointing is mostly finished; are you going to pull a Tom Sawyer with your neighbors re the fence work?

=============

I concur the Jordanian response to the brutal execution of their pilot is how that sort of thing ought to be handled. I’m just sorry they didn’t defile the ISIS-holes to render them “unclean” immediately prior to their demise.

Meanwhile, Il Douchey’s response was distant and bloodless:

“Should, in fact, this video be authentic, it’s just one more indication of the viciousness and barbarity of this organization. And I think we’ll redouble the vigilance and determination of the a global coalition to make sure they are degraded and ultimately defeated. And it also just indicates the degree to which whatever ideology they’re operating off of is bankrupt. We’re here to talk about how to make people healthier and make their lives better. And this organization appears only interested in death and destruction.”

He does love him some talking, doesnt he? Especially when it’s about himself.

“And this organization appears only interested in death and destruction.”

A brilliant insight worthy of the smartest man to ever hold the office.

Someone in my Twitter feed linked yesterday to a sort of editorial at Time’s website by a rabbi who felt that, with the increase in Joooo hate, we should raise awareness using social media.

I contacted him via his own website and briefly opined that, as the son of a Holocaust survivor, when the bastards show-up to take you to the train station, a 12-gauge would be more effective than Twitter. Used my real name and primary email account.

I suspect I won’t get a response. 😉

Happy Wednesday, Gerbil Nation!
Good morning, Fatwa and Sven!

And it also just indicates the degree to which whatever ideology they’re operating off of is bankrupt.

Hmmm, I wonder what that ideology could be?

Fatwa:

No, she’s a single mom -- her husband passed away last year. Funny thing; when I replaced the fence on the other side of my property, she and her husband were my neighbors on that side. We split the work and the costs. Now that she’s on the other side, we’ll use the same fence design, split the costs, but I’ll put in the labor.

That sucks about her husband.

But it’s nice that you’ll get some materials money for the new fence and don’t have to worry about “artistic differences” re the design.

Hmmm, I wonder what that ideology could be?

Zoroastrianism, mebbe? Nah…I bet it’s them danged Druids; they’re always causing trouble, what with just dropping ginormous rocks wherever the hell they want.

It wasn’t me…it was them golldurned Druids.

Hi and good evening from the sickly mountain redoubt. Picked up teh flu last week and now Mrs Sven has it. Snot. Yuck.

And apparently my mail server is down, so I’m in the dark as to the GN--hope it aint serious.

Got your message, Fatwa; will try calling you back later in the week. My best to you and Brenda.
