Happy Caturday, Gerbil Nation!
Good morning, Fatwa!
The nail gun I borrowed for use on the fence didn’t work. At all. I dismantled it as much as I could and found the piston was stuck. I got that loose and cleaned out some hardened oil, but I couldn’t disassemble it to the point where I could inspect all of the o-rings. I don’t know if the driver is frozen, because I couldn’t get to it. I was going to rent one today, but I found a friend who will let me borrow his, so I’ll pick that up later this morning. I don’t know why, but projects always seem to go this way -- I blame Murphy.
I just got an ad from See’s Chocolate for St. Patrick’s Day eggs.
The third line of the description is…
“Fluffy white chocolate and English walnuts make up its sweet center ”
English walnuts? My history may be weak but isn’t this a little like a restaurant celebrating MLK Day with discounts on Mint Juleps? Did they miss something here, or did I?
…but isn’t this a little like a restaurant celebrating MLK Day with discounts on Mint Juleps?
My history is also weak, but that made me *snorfle*
Also, what the hell do eggs have to do with St. Pat’s? See’s must have their Easter production line up and running early this year. 😉
Some college cafeteria got itself into trouble last month for a “Black History Month”-themed lunch which featured corn bread, greens and fried chicken (aka Southron regional cuisine)…and the “feelz” crowd got their Underoos in a great big twist, demanded penance and abasement and, of course, got it.
As for the social justice warriors, the only small comfort is the fun in watching them go after each other. We are so far down the slope that they are fighting each other over the scraps of our civilization and freedom like a pack of hungry dogs. Who gets priority victim-hood status and has top moral authority.
It is small comfort given what has been lost and how unlikely we are to get it back.
After picking up the nail gun from a friend, then making a run to Home Despot to pick up nails (the ones I had for the first nail gun won’t work in the second), I was able to get all of the pickets installed. I still have to cut and install stringers on my side of the fence (the fence looks identical from both sides) and install a 2x6 top cap. Because of other commitments, it won’t get done tomorrow, but with any luck it will be completed this week.
Caturday…teh yay!
Feline yoonyun plumber:
Also:
We seem to be warming up here in Happy Larryville…no sub-freezing nights forecast for the next ten days. And 60-ish highs, too.
Dinnae forget to set your clocks ahead tonight; BBL.
Woohoo…we’re number one! We’re number one!
In America, more hate crimes are committed against Jews than against all other groups combined, according to a recent FBI analysis on hate crimes.
Perhaps my peeps ought to start rioting, looting and burning carp down.
May I suggest starting with Gaza and the Golan Heights? Or maybe the offices of CAIR?

Hai, Mac!

(Maaaaaan…I’d be only too glad at this point to wade into a crowd of “social justice warriors” with a Louisville Slugger and play Baby Harp Seal Hunter© with them.)
My mistake. They are supposed to be Irish potatoes. Same issue though.
It’d be worse if there was something in the eggs which was supposed to represent Alternaria solani, teh fungus which causes early potato blight.

Funny, too, how the SJWs give rather short shrift to Jooooos and seem to consider them genocidal oppressors.
Well, where were those Jews when the black people were marching for civil rights……..oh wait.
Exceedingly despondent “heh”.
There was also that whole NAACP founding a century ago…no Joooos there, either.

I’m half-Sephardic, so they “other” me.
(I think they were offended by my parody version of Cher’s “Half Breed”, which rhymed “kamikaze” with “Ashkenazi”.)
Does that make you a half-Ash Joooo?
