It’s currently a very pleasant 54°F, but that won’t last for very long as we’re expected to reach 80 all this week. I’ll gladly trade 25 degrees, or so, with those less fortunate -- especially if the deal includes some precipitation.
That’ll have to be rain water as we’re still concerned here that the Army Corps of Engineers might screw us out of water from Lake Lanier to protect some cockamamie farkin’ mollusks in Florida.
I watched some of Obama’s big Selma speech yesterday and heard him use the DOJ report on Ferguson as an example of how much further we have to go with race relations. When did racist jokes or emails rise to the same level of racism as lynchings, murders, and assaults?
And the DOJ now threatens to dismantle the Ferguson police department. Perhaps DOJ should turn their reform efforts to the federal prisons cuz looking at the latest stats from there, blacks make up 37% of the federal prison population while representing only 12% of the general population.
Looks like racism to me.
BTW, where does Darren Wilson go to get his life back?

Wish that were possible; we’re looking to have a fairly damp week here in Happy Larryville. And another twenty degrees or so here would be welcome.
Perhaps the deal we cut should be degrees for water? Warmth for moisture.
