This is probably not a positive harbinger for the week:
On this day in 1969, the Cuyahoga River caught on fire, which really helped jump-start the EPA’s influence, the environmental movement and Cleveland’s demise. (46 years of mostly-carpy local government and citizen support for corrupt unions has not helped with the latter. When I was a kid, nobody really bothered to hide the unions’ ties to organized crime.)

Happy Monday, GN! I hope all you fathers and father figures had a great day of being appreciated by all your loved ones yesterday.
Our kids took PMK and the pack ( Smokey teh Mutt, 2 Collies, 1 German Shepherd, and 1 Australian Shepherd) to the dog park in the am, came home for Eggs Bennies ( which the Guest of Honor prepared) and shared a nap watching Game of Thrones.

Yes, I had a wonderful day yesterday. We went out for lunch after church (Belgian waffle sammies with craft beer), then picked up some bread, cheese, and salami for dinner. Humboldt Fog, Drunken Goat, and Old Quebec cheddar. Delicious!
