Well, I have been awake since 2:30, unable to go back to sleep. I see a morning nap in my future!
That Gerbil Curse Sven mentioned the other day (shiftless relatives and in-laws) is real.
I bought a watermelon & a big, juicy tomato from a roadside vender the other day. I had been stopping at a redlight next to him for about a week. Finally, I pulled in & made the purchase. I was surprised to find a sticker on the tomato that said it was from Arkansas! usually our fruit stands & roadside trucks sell stuff from East Texas or the Rio Grande Valley. Man, this tomato was GREAT! It tasted like one is supposed to taste. And the watermelon ( a small round one) hit the spot, too.
I have been trying to catch up on teh interwebs that I usually read since I woke up. I’m too tired to be outraged or even care much about any of it. SMOD is on the way.
We are beginning to see a glimmer of light at the end of TCM tunnel. BW got the pool water clear, we just have to keep it maintained. Someday I will post on regular stuff again, I promise. Ha!
Continued prayers for those that need them and those that don’t.
Hope y’all have a Jerrific Day!
Because he will be mad that he put a new wheel up and you don’t!
Going through the homes of deceased family members (and dealing with all the stuff therein) is no picnic. I’m sorry that that job’s being made more difficult by other family members’, erm, other stuff.
One of the “mantras” Mom and I repeated while going through the house after Dad died was, “For a guy who came to this country with one forty-pound suitcase, he sure managed to accumulate a lot of stuff.” (Which was often followed by tears or laughter, depending upon the nature of the carp we were going through at that moment.)
Today was a Paddy visiting day. Warm, cool breezes and cloudless sky.
Oh, and speaking of Paddy, Sunday I was pulling weeds (thousands of maple sprouts, really) when I fell down my front hillside, across the sidewalk and the berm and over the curb right into Paddy’s guest room. I’m just a little bit sore. What? Shut up! No, alcohol was not involved. Well, not so much to make me lose my balance…I’m pretty sure. I think. I just fall down a lot. It’s just a balance thing; thank God I didn’t spill my drink.
This whole moving Teh Squeak has been quite a saga. After evaluating DNN and two different blogging options, I signed up for a year of WordPress.com Premium service. Then I found out that I couldn’t transfer all you Gerbs and that you would have to sign up for a public account. So, no go there.
Finally, I arrived at BlueHost. They allowed me unlimited plugins and a self-managed account. They also recommended a plugin called ManageWP that allowed me to transfer posts, comments and users. I signed up and prepaid for three years of service, that should take me to seventy and a half and the Wheel to 2018. If, and that’s a big IF, I live beyond that I’ll add another three years.
RabBiT and Paddy, I feel for you both having been there. That’s why I stole everything of value from my parents while they were living so that at their deaths I only had to hire an arsonist to complete the job. Sooo much easier.
Now wait a minute! I never once rolled down the hill to the guest room that you so graciously provided! I may have tripped over the curb a time or two, but I never rolled down the hill!
OOOOOOOOOOOOO grabbin’!

Good thoughts to all Wheelizens; BBL.
Sure Happy It’s Thursday, Gerbil Nation!
Hai, RabBiT and Fatwa!
That’s all I got at the moment, that and prayers for them that need ’em.
GOOD EVENING EVERYONE!
Greetings from oh so delightful Bountiful.
I really do hope y’all are having a superior day, ’cause you just know I am.

Time to send out invoices, Jerry. Let us help.
Agreed! I would be happy to help. I feel bad enough about the time and hassle you give for us.
Agreed and echoed.
Man, that Confederate flag has got to go. Now it’s inspiring more killings in Tennessee. Oh, wait.
Now wait a minute! I never once rolled down the hill to the guest room that you so graciously provided! I may have tripped over the curb a time or two, but I never rolled down the hill!
They may regret that decision.
Off to bed. Mrs Sven saw the doctor yesterday, got another set of antibiotics--different ones this time--and seems to be improving.
Watching the news tonight, I just can’t help but be sad for our country. Difficult times and castrated leaders--probably not a good combination.
Thoughts and prayers, friends.
