LOWNDES COUNTY, Ga. — The Air Force and FBI are searching for two members of the Afghan military who were last seen on Moody Air Force Base outside Valdosta.
Personnel last saw the maintenance workers on Friday and now federal and local law enforcement are scrambling to figure out where they went and why.
“With all that’s going on in the world right now, and all that’s going on in our country, it’s a little alarming that they would walk away and nobody knows where they went,” said veteran Phillip Robinson.
Air Force officials said the men were two of 23 Afghan air force personnel at the base learning to fly and maintain an A-29 fighter plane, Mirwais Kohistani and Shirzad Rohullah.
An article yesterday neglected to mention that they were fooking pilots, too.
In a statement, the Air Force said the Afghans were screened prior to showing up in the United States and the two who are missing do not pose any apparent threat.
Well, that’s reassuring; wonder if they were vetted as thoroughly as a certain former Pakistani pharmacy student who wound-up in San Bernardino was? Jeebus.
Happy Friday, Gerbil Nation!
Good morning, Fatwa and Mac!
Teh Younger made it home safely last night and had his traditional welcome home meal of In-n-Out. We’re going to get our Christmas tree this morning and decorate it tonight.
She might find it a little harder to harass people without a free home to operate from. Can you link to the free wi-fi from the gutter outside coffee shops?
I think an electric fence around the property would provide security without obstructing the views. If the owners just happened to forget the warning signs, it might provide hilarity, as well.
Hai, Cali! No swimming for you today, but it’s good weather for a Cali-sized backyard bonfire!
Happy Friday, GN!

Not to be too mean-spirited, but…
Cali, The Hall of the Mountain Troll has been sold while the troll sits in jail.
It was pending sale for a long time.

I kinda feel sorry for the new owners. I’m sure when she gets out, they will probably be her next victims.
I’m happy for her neighbors though!

Hi Sven!
Nice to see coons doing the jobs cats won’t do.
Good idea! It’s kinda windy though…
It could pass for one of those rocket engine tests in the hills.
But it might be confused for something else. Better to play it safe these days.
