We got rid of our landline a few years ago. I’d wanted to keep it at the “lifeline” rate strictly in the event of a long-term local / regional power outage, but their rate was stupidly high. (We were still “hard-wired” in that we were getting the telco’s DC line voltage and I’ve an old corded phone stashed in a drawer…not that it’ll do us any good now.)

Evening Greetings, all!
Thank you for teh Gerbil thoughts and prayers. They were felt nd helped, greatly. Today’s session was tough but insightful. Our discussions once we got home were Yuge. Things are looking up again.
I just got off the phone with Good Nephew. I wanted to let him know that we are definitely coming over Christmas Eve. He said that now his plans may be changing, due to not going to his Dad’s on Christmas Day. See, he really wants a family gathering and is trying to make it so the others can be there. I just told him to let us know what he decides and we’ll be there.
Then he told me that he thinks the problem might be an ignitor on the furnace, not the control board. Either way, he will get it taken care of for us. What a blessing. Also, when I typed in the brand and model number, a site came up called repairclinic.com. It had all the parts for the furnace. I don’t know why this site never came up the other day!
So all is good here at Teh Rabbit Hutch.
