Fatwa Arbuckle: Misanthropologist

G’morning, GN!

We don’t have enough real bugs, so we need robot bugs too?!? Madness! 🙂

You know where that’ll lead?

A taco place in Vegas called Frijoles & Frescas got burgled; they used CCTV footage to make an amusing internet ad:

Mornin’ greetin’s!

So I was noodlin’ around on FB and sent out some friend requests on BW’s page. Thanks for responding. I know y’all won’t say anything wheelish. BW was concerned that someone would say something about TCM that her family might read. I, of course, know that won’t happen. She never goes there & I do, but never post. I have some idiotic relatives of my own that say inane things or “like” everything they ever see. My Son had to show me how to keep them as friends, but not read what they post. One of my sisters posts all manner of democrat party stuff that makes me want to comment “vomit”. Ha!

Cold morning, again. In the 40’s. At least the sun is out. I guess we will be going over to TMP to run the pool pump. Not looking forward to that. We can put it on the timer because no one knows if it works & BW is afraid to leave it on unattended.

See ya later!

Hi Rabbit!
I am honored that you sent me a friend request. I promise not to post anything wheelish but perhaps I’ll scatter some occasional pixie dust.

My hellcoldflu is tapering off. Advil Cold and Sinus..not the stuff on the shelf for the regular minions, but the special one in the red box that they keep behind the pharmacy counter is the best. They make you show I.D. to purchase it because I guess tweakers use it to make some form of meth. All I know is that I can breathe now and all that other stuff they sell for hellcoldflu is crap.

We got one of those portable radiator type space heaters from Home Depot about a month ago because we thought running the furnace for the whole house would be expensive. So we just used that in the bedroom and stoked the fireplace downstairs to heat the rest of the house. Just got my bill. It jumped from $88 to $207!!! OMG!

Our regular furnace is gas. the space heater is like a radiator, with oil inside and it is electric. Oh well, that thing is getting unplugged immediately. It is probably cheaper to heat the whole house than run that thing. Its ok, this cold snap wont last for long. At least we dont have to run air conditioning all summer. We have it pretty nice.

Not sure, we haven’t even used the gas furnace this year yet. Hubby thought he would try the space heater thing because our furnace is old, even though it worked perfectly last year..He forbid me to turn it on. He said, “We arent going to use that old thing this year because look at this really cool heater I bought at Home Depot” And then he chopped a bunch of wood. He was going to show me how to save money..HA!

Just wait till he sees this bill.
I wont even have to say, “I told ya so”

Hey all. Sorry you have a cold, Cali.
This is how we cut do our heat: We have a gas water heater & gas furnace. The AC & stove are electric. During the cold weather, we rarely turn the heat on. Maybe a few minutes in the morning to “knock the chill off”. What we do is use an electric blanket on the bed at night. During other times, we sit under those small electric throw blankets. Then, again, we are old ladies! We don’t have a fireplace. This is a lot better than heating up a whole house. Of course, during the summer there is no way to avoid using AC, even with fans running all the time.

I don’t know if anyone is following the “Afluenza” teen story. Tarrant County Sherriff Dee Anderson is one tough guy. He was a top cop in Arlington for years before became the Sherriff. And D.A. Sharen Wilson? She was a Judge here for a number of years in Family Court. I think, like Judge Jeanine in New York, she got bored & wanted to get back into the action as a D.A. That idiot juvenile judge that gave him probation quit after letting him go. Many here think she was paid off. She put a poor, minority kid that did the same thing away for years.

I hear that spoiled brat and his mother were arrested in Puerto Vallarta and are being detained in Mexico. They will be extradited back to the United States tomorrow. Bummer. I think several more months in a mexican jail before extradition would have been better.

I’m not sure why, but this article reminded me of someone around here….
http://www.atlasobscura.com/articles/the-true-story-of-roland-the-farter-and-how-the-internet-killed-professional-flatulence

Roland, court minstrel to 12th century English king Henry II, probably had many talents.

But history has recorded only one.

Referred to variously Rowland le Sarcere, Roland le Fartere, Roland le Petour, and Roland the Farter, Roland really had one job in the court: Every Christmas, during the court’s riotous pageant, he performed a dance that ended with “one jump, one whistle, and one fart”, executed simultaneously.

For this, Roland was gifted a manor house in Hemingstone, Suffolk, and more than 100 acres of land. For farting on cue.
