Need help here! I can not make new threads. When I try to go to the page to set up a post I get a page about blocks, permissions and such. I have a thread up for Thursday and Thursday night but that is it until I can get in. I put those up Tuesday.
Hi, Mac. WP has a new editor called Gutenberg…far different from the old WP editor. I’m sure you can figure it out, ’cause I kinda did. Make sure the tab on the right is on “document” rather than “blocks.”
OK, I think I have most of it. I don’t know how to center captions under the image yet but I will work on it. I have both posts for Friday and the first for Saturday. Thank you MIGHTY BLUE GLOVE for your patience with this lowly muggle.

I did try logging out and back in and getting to the thread page every way I could. I closed and reopened the sight. I jest keep getting a page that talks about blocks and permissions and I am afraid to screw something up.
I just took a quick look and the blocks referred to are things like text blocks, paragraph blocks, bold, lists, etc. They aren’t permission-type blocks. If you add a block, the standard text formatting tools appear. As our blue-gloved TSWadministrator mentioned, in the far upper-right, if you choose “Document” instead of “Blocks” you can just type as you normally would.
Thank you, Paddy. I started to see that as I played with it. I had not seen the Block/Document tab until I clicked settings. I think I have most sorted out and seem to have posts scheduled. I think I am over complicating the image but it seems the only way to use Photobucket images and it works. Have not figured out how to center a caption under the picture but I will keep looking. Thank you. The use of “block” and the permissions box below had me gunshy.
Thanks Paddy. Nothing working for me. Even your img disappeared when I looked at the code in edit, without changing it. I tried copy and pasting it into a comment and it disappears there too. I have no clue.
Yeah, I did that through the dashboard. It’s actually been the only way that I have been consistently successful in posting images in comments for quite some time now.
OK, I can post images in comments but only if I go through the dashboard, edit, and then use the “img” button. I can’t post them as a comment or they disappear, even the same code it seems.

I was digging around in the WP documentation and saw that you can enter an image URL and it will be converted to an image link, auto-magically. Maybe the all-knowing blue-glove has been adjusting settings.
The camera button seems for up;oading images. Won’t that fill up the site’s space? Is there a way to use Photobucket to avoid that? I will look into what Paddy mentioned. Sorry for the bother.I am lamer.

I used the direct link selection to get the URL, then used <img src=”url” />

I’d like a special pull, just not from Fatwa. Also, click on the camara icon when you either reply or begin a new comment. See how that works.
