Thank you, Paddy. I’ve been, of late, thinking about all the old Gerbils. We were once a lively bunch. I find myself wishing they would all drop in from time to time. Although, I guess that is somewhat hypocritical since I, and Harper, have been so long absent as well.
I remember one of you introducing me to “Ikki Tousen,” a “fan service” heavy anime. I don’t remember who it was, but it was during “Teh Hotness” sub thread one night.
Ah…I suspect you mean the Bradford pear tree. Which we got rid of years ago. (No, they don’t bear fruit, but they do go all pear-shaped.) 🙂
Fair points about packing. And I’ll be staying with Jim teh Roofer, which beats a hotel. (With a Trader Joe’s nearby for shampoo, conditioner, coffee supplies, etc.) But air travel ain’t as enjoyable as it used to be for myriad reasons.
Looks like our street is dry, but it’s also 30ºF so there may be some black ice on bridges. And it’s a wee bit foggy with some snow left on the grass and deck.
Bah!
Time to hit teh shower, obsess about packing, obsess some more and then wake SackO’SugarK. (Whom I will miss bunches while I’m gone.)
To kind friends and absent companions.
You are, each and everyone, a blessing.

You and the gentle Harper have always been with us, Sir. You are part of the soul of this family.
Glrmph.
Too early for a Sunday.
