Fatwa Arbuckle: Misanthropologist

Judgmental Friday salutations, GN!

We are ruled, “informed” and “entertained” by cowardly, corrupt filth.

And I’m way more disgusted and furious than usual.

======================

Took a second cup of coffee to figure out what Mac’s thread pic reminded me of:

Hi, Sven!

I’m sure Stacy Abrams will get the GA situation sorted out in a fair and non-partisan manner. 👿

Read a few minutes ago there are ~9K military ballots which have yet to be tallied here. We’ll see how it ultimately shakes out…

Hi, Fatwa -- it looks like the senate races in your state are heading to a runoff vote later as well? Sheesh.

So even the Republicans holding on to the Senate is up in the air? Double sheesh.

We’ll see what the “score” is after our recount.

Happy WTF? Friday, Gerbil Nation!
Good morning, Fatwa, and Sven!

Maybe it’s time our side started rioting and burning sh!t down -- starting in the neighborhoods of the ruling class.

Hi, Paddy. That isn’t unlikely and the media will dance with joy that their fears of those Trump-white supremacist-militia groups that were told to “stand by” are coming to fruition. But so it goes.

Hi, Paddy!

I nominate “Auntie Maxine”‘s house as a starting point.

Followed by Cher’s home.

It’s too bad that CNN can’t trot out their LEGAL EXPERT to make sense of all this -- I bet Toobin is frothing at the mouth that he can’t opine on this mess. Who knew that whacking off could have such consequences?

Trump has a decision to make. This election is lost -- I can’t believe that he’s going find the votes via recounts or find enough actionable fraud to win back any of the states that went to Biden. Did he, and us by extension, get screwed? Yes, but to what extent I don’t know and I don’t think we’ll ever know. It hurts, but none of us, including Trump, after four years of media bias, Russia collusion, a phony pandemic, phony impeachment, false reporting, anonymous reporting, leaks, an unfriendly GOP, etc., ought to be surprised. We hoped for another miracle, but this time the other side was better prepared having learned one lesson from 2016 -- best maybe to cheat.

Trump’s decision now is what to do with the next three months. He can harp and whine and point to this and that to no end, or he can use this time constructively in terms of appointments, pardons, executive orders, etc., and preparation for what comes after January. If he chooses to do the former, then the Trump era will go the way of the Tea Party. If he chooses the latter, then there’s hope for America going forward.

I think he should concede, but let the investigations continue for the good of the country. I think he ought to spend the next few months celebrating his accomplishments while not letting anyone forget the bias and the unwarranted hatred that he and his supporters endured.

Never concede, I gave 6K to his campaign and would be very disappointed if he gave up.

I was reading a Washington Post opinion piece that included this gem: “Biden is easy to like, knows the ropes, has friends on both sides of the aisle, can broker a deal, raise the level of discourse, restore dignity to the White House — all those things we’ve missed the past four years. After his third run for president, he has the potential opportunity to go down in history as a good man and the most consequential of presidents. His humility would be a gift to us all.”

It made me laugh, especially “raising the level of discourse”. Because Biden so successfully hid himself away, these people are doing an Obama blank slate thing and projecting their dreams onto him. The reality of Joe Biden is that there’s no longer any there there. Not that when he had a there that he was any great shakes of a man or a leader.

I just got notification that my ballot (mail-in, but dropped off at a collection center) has been received and will be counted!

I voted in person at the county walk-in site before heading to Boston to see my new grandson. I worry about his future.
