Huh.Hard to imagine just what a cat thinks.

Good morning, GN!

Fatwa Arbuckle: Misanthropologist

Happy Friday, GN!

G’mornin’, Sven. I hope Mrs. Sven isn’t putting brandy in her coffee this morning. (Sorry she was having such a -- presumably -- carpy day yesterday and hope today’s better.)

Perhaps teh kitteh mentioned in today’s thread pic just wants mouse soup. đź‘ż

It’s currently 24ÂşF here in Larryville; crikey.

=================

Leak reports are still coming in to JimCo; haven’t ever experienced such a large number of many-days-late reports (And several of them we’ve “investigated” aren’t actually leaks; they’re stuff like nails popping out of drywall or other issues which don’t involve water intrusion. It’s exceedingly frustrating.)

People have lost their damned minds.

Fatwah!! You have to be pretty old to get that one, at this point. Who remembers Kraftwerk?

Hi, Dv8 -- I remember the band name, but not any of their music.

Ha! Ol’ Jerry has traveled 43.216 billion miles (74 orbits) around the sun as of 01-05-2022. So, yes I’m older than dirt; but still a dirty 13-year-old inside.

Hey, Jerry!!!
Nice to “see” you here! Are you still freezing your fingers off in Maine, or are you scandalizing the neighbors in Boston?

Barrett Wellman(tm)

Hiya, Paddy. Neither, I’m freezing my fingers or some other such appendages and scandalizing the neighbors in Bountiful.
How are you, the long-suffering Mrs. O’Furniture and the kiddies.

Back in Bountiful? I’m sure the neighbors missed you when you were gone. Mrs. O’Furnijur is still suffering my presence, but not in silence -- unless she’s ignoring my remarks. Teh Younger is doing well in Florida and Teh Older is doing well out here. All-in-all, life is good.

Great to hear. Not that I can hear worth a damn. Life is good, isn’t it?

How are things around the homestead? I hope you haven’t crawled out on any roofs or dropped any cars on yourself lately.

Barrett Wellman(tm)

Not yet. I did get a nifty ladder-type thing so that I can go all the way up to the roof ridge. Aah, spring and a young man’s thoughts turn to fixing shingles and looking into neighbor’s windows.

Have you considered getting one of those inflatable landing cushions that stunt men use to break their fall? I know better than to ask if you’ve considered letting someone else climb on the roof.

Howdy Mac. I trust all is well with you and Eleana? I’m afraid that that different inflatable is rarely inflated these days and it certainly would not inflate in an emergency -- think cold water.

Thank you, Mac. I had to start losing weight in June two years ago because Cait was getting married and required J and I to be more presentable. And because we are both afraid of her.

Whatever works! Seriously, that takes a lot of effort. Good for you. How is J?

Nice, annoying (not like me), and otherwise OK. Teh leukemia briefly went to stage 2 but went back to Cronic. No insurance money for me.

NEVER! I used to be my own inflatable but I’ve lost exactly 50 lbs in the last two years (204 to 154) so now I’m lighter than air -- almost.

I remember the “In Concert” version wherein they played their electric drums. It was very Euro Synth--ish.

Re weather: I’m still hoping for some kind of snow this year, although we usually get maybe one and a half good snows, and we’ve already had the half a couple of weeks ago. We had large flurries, pretty thick but it was too warm for it to stick.

Wednesday, teh bestest place ever finally got around to complying with Brandon’s illegal mandate order and requested by EOD today that everyone report their “vaccine” status via a third-party online survey. Their communication clearly stated that if you decline to state, that you will be considered not vaccinated, but the survey question itself doesn’t allow that choice. As such, I wrote the following to HR:

Regarding XXX’s request for my personal medical information related to vaccinations for covid, I decline to state. However, “decline to state” is not an option on the survey (Question 4) and therefore I cannot complete the survey as requested.

As stated in the Corporate Communication of 1/6/22, I understand that XXX considers my decline to state response tantamount to a “unvaccinated” response. For the purposes of your efforts to comply with the OSHA-ETS, you can consider me as an unvaccinated employee working remotely.

Please reply if any further action is necessary on my part.

So far, my response has been kicked up the HR ladder, but I’ve gotten no response or direction from them.

hopefully, but that’s how they keep people from getting unemployment and other benefits. Harper has been clueing in the nurses at the hospitals to that, just in case it comes up.

Listening to SCOTUS oral arguments on Brandon’s mandate order, the plaintiffs aren’t sounding too good -- imo, getting beat up bad the libs on the court. Sotomayor and Kagan tho, are lying about the facts of covid and the seriousness of omicron.

I’ve noticed that Sotomayor lies a lot during oral arguments.

When I read “requested by EOD”, I thought why would explosive ordnance disposal want that information from Sven?

Happy Friday, Gerbil Nation!
Good morning, Sven, Fatwa, dv8 (and Harper!), and Mac!

Fatwa -- I’m glad I wasn’t drinking coffee when I read the comic you posted. Well done!
Good luck fixing all those nail pops!

Sven -- I’m sorry Teh Bestest Place Ever! is implementing the vaccine mandate. It truly is ridiculous.
