Good morning, GN, and happy first full week of the new year. Judging from what’s happened so far, 2026 is shaping up to be an interesting year.

I want to apologize…

…to everyone on S&BP who used to say “sell the team” on these boards.

I didn’t listen. I was still young and dumb. I was holding out hope that the owner wasn’t a f*cking complete incompetent dumb^ss. I was interrupting your movement because of blind optimism and some other bullsh*t. I didn’t see what you could see from miles away. I was born into the Raiders, and I didn’t actually get to choose a team for myself, but I joyfully embraced the darkside because of what they once represented. Guys like Howie Long, Lester Hayes, and Bill Romanowski who were tough, gritty, hardnosed, and had swagger. Coaches like Flores, Gruden, and Madden made me love the Raiders and made me love the game.

To each and every one of you early “sell the team-ers,” I sincerely apologize to you, and I hope you can find it in your silver and black hearts to forgive me. This owner is a f*cking complete and absolute dunce, and I finally can see what you’ve seen all along. No amount of optimism can fix this.
