Fatwa Arbuckle: Misanthropologist

It’s Friday…teh yay!

Dunno why, but that thread pic tickled me, Mac.

Oh, just for the record: we do not have Malaysian Airlines flight 370 stashed in our garage.

I’m looking and looking at the thread video and not seeing any cats.

Good morning and happy Friday!

As far as we know. (The garage is really rather cluttered, after all.)

Off to work, boys, but Happy Ed Abbey Memorial Day! Today marks the 25th anniversary of Abbey’s death.

Aww, it’s not so bad since we finally got rid of that surplus frigate.

No, they didn’t have those when I was growing up.

I didn’t even have a Big Wheel.
😉

Good Morning EveryGerbillyBody!
Sorry I haven’t checked in in so long -- work’s been busy-busy-busy -- deadline’s in two weeks and of course my less-than-useless co-worker hasn’t taken anything from her yearly review and like, oh, I don’t know, actually UPPED her productivity?!
Buh. Figures.

It’s really freaky how prescient Tom Clancy was. The possibility that this plane has ended up somewhere, and not the bottom of the ocean or some mountain hillside is right out of “Executive Orders”. Except in that book it was a Gulfstream IV, and not something as freakin’ HUGE as a 777.
And we’re getting nowhere NEAR the full story -- probably never will.

In other news, my back “issues” continue to improve, Mr. X is back at work -- the current job is resulting in a nice little barter transaction that’ll net us an Angus/Hereford heifer. Considering cattle prices have been going through the roof at auction, this is a really good deal.
Cucumbers, tomatoes, and some strawberries are going in the ground tomorrow (at least that’s my plan) -- now I just really have to figure out how to dog-proof the plots. The puppy and Lati together are destruction on a massive scale.

::sigh::
Back to the grind…

While I am confident the missing plane is not in our garage -- cause PMK turned that into a theater and then into his music room years ago. -It is possible I have mislaid it in the recycling I keep not getting put out on Tuesdays.

So, another !!!!! funeral tomorrow for one of #1 Son’s crowd. There we were this afternoon in the same 2 rooms of the same funeral home for the umpteenth time. This time the older ( as in 1 year older, so 27) brother of a triple teammate. Enlarged heart. You know what is really odd? This is the 3rd enlarged heart death in this circle of kids in 8 years.
